CENTRAL SCIENTIFIC INSTRUMENTS ORGANISATION

The Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIO) with headquarters at Chandigarh, is a National Laboratory in the pursuit of development of scientific instrumentation in the country. The Service & Maintenance Centre at Chennai was established in 1965 to meet the repair and servicing requirements of the users of scientific instruments in the southern region. The present mandate of the center is to develop as a center of excellence for energy management instrumentation. The major activities of the center are described.
